Okri as New Vice President for Caine Prize

Ben Okri OBE, the internationally acclaimed Nigerian writer and winner of the 1991 Booker Prize has been announced as the new Vice President of the Caine Prize.

On accepting his new position, he said, “It’s an honour to be appointed Vice President of the Caine Prize especially as it is a wonderful opportunity to contribute to the enrichment of literature by enriching the literature of Africa.”
