Hilary Mantel Wins 2012 Man Booker Prize

Hilary Mantel

This year’s Man Booker Prize goes to Hilary Mantel for her book Bring Up the Bodies, a sequel to her 2009 Booker-Prize-winning novel Wolf Hall.

Mantel receives 50,000 Pounds for the prize. The prize was announced on October 16, 2012 at 9:40 pm British time at a dinner at Guildhall.
She is the first author win the Booker Prize with first two books of her trilogy. See here for the news.
